Any time is a good time to visit stunning Australia. The months between spring and autumn are usually your best bet as the weather is slightly milder and spring also brings out the magnificent wildflowers in the outback and Canberra. The Victorian Alps are particularly beautiful around this time too with panoramic views that will blow you away.

In the summer months between December and February the weather can get pretty hot in Australia. If you are in the Southern states, this can make for great beach weather whereas in Northern Australia it is wet season and can be extremely humid. Be mindful at this time of the year, as there are many box jellyfish roaming the sea which could give you a nasty surprise whilst you are cooling off! When you visit Australia, campervans are a popular alternative for many gap year travellers so you can fully explore all that Australia has to offer. There are several great companies that rent fully equipped campervans complete with camping gear, with reasonable prices.
