Locals and tourists flock to Bondi Beach, and its here you will see Sydneys city beach culture at its best. Just 7km from the city centre, Bondi Beach is the nearest ocean beach. This great moon shaped bay is fringed with parks and accommodation, looking out over the sensational Tasman Sea. With regular buses from Circular Quay, you can be dropped off on the doorstep within an hour or why not soak up the amazing views and take a drive down to the bay.

This Southern side is ranked 7 out of 10 (with 10 being the most perilous) and for those of you who seek a tamer experience, then the lure of the northern beach, rated a 4 will be much more appealing.
