Sydney Mardi Gras

In February every year, is the spectacular, exotic and colourful Sydney Mardi Gras. This popular political yet glamorous festival is for the people of Sydney, drawing in the crowds worldwide and so boasting the biggest Mardi Gras in the world for the gay communities.

The icing on the cake is the Mardi Gras Parade which is held on the last Saturday of the Festival. See the flamboyant and elaborate floats, frolicking and fun, all to be had throughout the day, late into the night. The Sydney Mardi Gras Parade starts at Hyde Park, moving through to Darlinghursts main strip; Oxford Street, then finding its way to Flinders Street, bringing to a close at Moore Park.
