  • Doing well in your business career.
  • Your latest ownership interest or net assets in an eligible business.
  • Professional, technical or trade service has taken no longer than 50% of your time.
  • Satisfactory funds to conduct or establish a business in Australia.

Basic eligibility Requirements for the Australia Business Owner Visa (Subclass 163):

  • You hold vocational English.
  • Meet all the Australian immigration character and health requirements.
  • Make evident the need to live temporarily in Australia to conduct or establish a business.
  • You have demonstrated a successful business career and are of a senior managerial role.
  • You must have had ownership interest in one or two main businesses combined, with a minimum turnover of AU$300,000 annually for at least 2 of the last financial years prior to you application.
  • Total assets (including spouses) have a net value of AU$250,000 and are accessible for the business development. (Transfer of the funds must be within 2 years from the Visa being granted).
  • You are under 55 years old at the time of application (unless your business is of exceptional economic benefit which will be decided by the regional authority).
  • Neither you nor your spouse to have been involved in an investment/business that is not usually accepted in Australia.
  • Your professional, technical or trade service has taken no longer than 50% of your time.
  • Your commitment to holding and maintaining an ownership interest in a qualifying business in Australia is legitimate.
