If you are planning on travelling to Australia
for more than 3 months you will need to apply for the subclass 676
visa. The main reason for your visit should be for recreation or
to visit family and/or friends. It can also be used for other short-term,
non work purposes, including study for less than 3 months.
The subclass 676 visa will allow you a stay in Australia for either
six or twelve months. The visa will be valid on your passport for
twelve months, allowing you the twelve months from the date of issue
to enter into the country to start the duration of your visa.
The subclass 676 visa was recommended to eligible countries in January
2006 to replace the form 48. Labels and stamps, which were required
with the form 48 are a thing of the past. Passports are no longer
required to be sent to the local High Commissions as the subclass
676 visa is assigned to your passport number electronically.
The subclass 676 visa will allow you to:
Stay in Australia for up to six or twelve months per visit.
Make multiple visits into Australia from the date of issue.
You will not usually be requested to undergo any health
requirements if you are under the age of 70 (unless a medical
condition has been stated on the application form).
If you are over the age of 70 a Visitor Visa Medical Certificate
(70-85) and a doctor's report is required.
If you are over the age of 85 a Visitor Visa Medical Certificate
(85+) is required.
Evidence of Health/travel insurance is also required for
applicants over 70 years of age.
The subclass 676 visa is NOW ONLY
£95
Visas 4 Australia Company strongly recommends that you do not book your
flight until you have been granted your Long Stay Holiday visa.
