Australia Sponsorship Visa (Subclass 457)

This type of Visa means that an Australian employer can sponsor you to work and live in Australia for a maximum period of four years. It will only take between 4-8 weeks for Visas 4 Australia to organise your Australia Sponsorship Visa.

If you already have an existing permit to work on your current Australian Visa, then bridging Visa’s are available for applications onshore, meaning you can work for your employer while the Australia Sponsorship Visa is being dealt with.

Requirements for the Australia Sponsorship Visa (Subclass 457):

• You must have the necessary work experience, expertise & qualifications for the position.
• You must provide confirmation of an employment offer, meeting the minimum salary requirements (Visas 4 Australia can help find jobs for Nurses & Trades people)
• An eligible Australian employer must sponsor you.
• You must be eligible for any applicable licences/registration essential for the selected position.
• You must work for the company sponsoring you for the entirety of your Visa.

CV with qualifications:

• Provide 5 years applicable industry training or information on formal qualifications.
• Education and training certificates/qualifications require certified copies.
• Employer references need certified copies.
• Provide full employment history (including employer, position information, occupation, start and end dates, tasks & responsibilities performed in the position).

Job Offer:

You must have an official job offer from your new employer, relevant to your skills and minimum salary requirements:

• Company name (business & trading including ABN & ACN where applicable).
• Full company contact details e.g. email, address, telephone etc.
• Description of job position, including title and skills/qualifications necessary to fulfill the role.
• Employment hours and period to be worked (must be 40 hours + per week).
• Basic salary and remuneration package on offer from employer (minimum salary requirement is in place).

Minimum Salary:

Minimum per annum salary requirements are in place for the Australia Sponsorship Visa. The figures are the gross salary (base salary excluding any additional payments e.g. bonus, commission etc.):

38 hour week = AU$43,440
40 hour week = AU$45,730
IT & managers = AU$59,480

Records:

Upon application of the Australia Sponsorship Visa you must inform us if:

• You or any of your dependant family members have a criminal record/health problem/violated condition of a previous Visa to Australia.

X –rays:

X-rays are necessary once Visa 4 Australia has notified you of the likelihood of your Australia Sponsorship Visa being granted. The Australian Government will appoint panel doctors who will perform the x-rays. They cannot be older than 12 months and must be lodged by us as unopened by the DIMA.

IMPORTANT

Many agents charge you a fee for organising the Australia Sponsorship Visa and they charge you a management fee (% of your salary – employer pays management company & you are then paid by the management company minus the fee – approx. $AU6000 in additional indirect fees). Visas 4 Australia do not charge the management fee.
