Australia ETA Business Visa (Long)

The Business Long Visa means you can stay in Australia on a short term basis for business purposes. Such business purposes include business or educational meetings, networking, informal studies, seminars, conferences or conventions.

Once granted, your Business Long Visa allows you to stay in Australia for up to 3 months on each visit (for the life of your passport)

Further to the above, to qualify for this Visa type you must be outside Australia and hold a valid ETA passport.

* Holders of Taiwan passports can only be processed for an ETA if resident in and applying in Taiwan. Applications can be placed with an approved ETA Travel Agent in Taiwan or Australian Visa Services office in Taipei. ** Holders of UK passports which indicate their nationality to be British National (Overseas) (BNO) can be processed for an ETA if applying via a travel agent, airline, or at an office of the department. BNO passport holders cannot apply for their ETA online.

ETA’s are electronic so you will not receive a stamp or label in your passport and you do not need to visit a departmental office to submit an application. Instead the electronically stored ETA is linked to your passport number.

You must be in good health.
You must have no criminal convictions.
You are permitted multiple stays of up to 3 months for the life of your passport.

What is the processing time for the ETA Visa?

In some instances the processing will take up to 3 business days. However because the processing starts straight away, the majority of cases will receive confirmation of their Visa within 1 business day (Business days are 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, excluding UK Bank Holidays). Please note there will be further delays to the processing of your application; if it is referred by the Australian Government or the applicant has criminal convictions.

How long is my Business Long ETA Visa valid for?

This short term Visa enables you to stay in Australia for multiple stays of up to 3 months. This Visa is valid for the life of your passport.

Should I send my passport to Visa 4 Australia?

No DO NOT send your passport, we do not require your passport and will not be responsible for the loss of your passport in the post.

Do I need a stamp in my Visa?

ETA Visas have replaced the need for Visa stamps. An ETA Visa is electronically linked to your passport, which will be scanned at check-in and upon entering Australia.
