The Australian Working Holiday visa offers young travellers the opportunity to spend a year travelling around Australia, whilst supplementing their funds through temporary or casual work. (Please note, You cannot work for one employer for more than six months)

To apply for an Australian Working Holiday visa you must:

• Hold a valid passport for your entire trip.
• Be outside Australia
• Be aged between 18-30 years old.
• Have no dependant children.
• Have not entered Australia on a WHV before.
• Be entering Australia for a holiday, any work carried out should be to support yourself in funding your trip.
• Hold a passport from one of the following countries.

When entering Australia you might be asked to provide evidence of an onward ticket or sufficient funds to purchase one, as well as funds to support yourself for the first part of your stay.

The Working Holiday visa usually takes around 48 hours to be granted, however in some circumstances additional information may be requested before the visa can be issued.

What extra requirements are there to work in the health care industry?
You can leave and re-enter Australia as many times as you like within the 12 months from your initial date of entry.
