Thailand renews visa processing mandate with VFS Global

The Thai government has renewed its mandate for processing Pan-Indian visas with VFS Global. VFS Global will serve travelers from all over India through Visa Application Centers and Drop-off Centers under the jurisdiction of the Royal Thai Embassy in Delhi and Royal Thai Consulate General in Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai.

The company would handle all visa categories such as TR, STV and long stay non-OA, non-B (employment) visas except for the medical treatment category.

VFS Global’s relationship with the Thai government dates back almost two decades. The company has processed over 2 million Thai visa applications since 2005.

In 2019, VFS Global became the officially authorized partner of the Thailand Immigration Office for E-Visa on Arrival. With the aim of encouraging tourism to the country and accelerating the immigration of customers, the service is aimed at eligible travelers from 21 countries, including India, China, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, etc. It allows customers to obtain travel authorization online before departure within 24 to 72 hours.
