Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Celtic rock band Young Dubliners, one of the first bands I started listening to in this genre over 20 years ago, are raising funds to release their long-awaited 10th studio album. They’re currently doing a pledge campaign on their website, where you buy things like CDs, shirts or if you’re feeling extremely generous – you can pay for a full gig of the band somewhere. Who wants to buy me this?
The band wrote on their website:
Once again we ask for your support so that we can start working on our tenth album. Over the past few years, we’ve been through two band member changes and then the pandemic. These situations made it nearly impossible to seriously dive into a new project when we desperately wanted to. Each of us has been writing alone for a few years, anxiously waiting for a time when we can come together and start the creative process.
That time is here. With vaccinations being administered at an increasingly rapid rate, we are confident that we will be able to gather safely very soon. So we ask for your help.
So help them, buy something so they can release their next album!
Watch the band perform live in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I think the video will be up for a few days, so check it out now!
